We found a post on ShoesWeWant.com dedicated to Charles David's "Versatile Summer Classics". Their picks for a polished yet casual look – the CLEMSON wedge and GRATUITY sandal. With these neutrals, "simple outfits look a little fresher". The versatility of these shades allow you to pair them "with a
flash of neon (we love nude with pink) or a floral print".
While on this blog, we read their 'About' statement: This is a blog about shoes. Shoes we want, maybe some shoes we own, and
probably occasionally some shoes we really, really hate. We like shoes
and people who like shoes. So if you like shoes, are we are guessing
you do because here you are at blog called shoeswewant.com, then we
already have something in common. Just for that and, of course, their flattering dedication, we are now followers.
This month our Who What Wear Look Of The Day spotlights Jameela Jamil, a rising London fashion icon, out shopping in a fabulous, yet comfortable, turquoise wedge.
This newcomer has hit the U.K. and U.S. scene as a television personality/model but is making the biggest mark with her style. She mixes and matches separates with confidence and a sensibility that is young, fresh and unique. Here she sports a light floral shirt with a pair of cutoffs and a brimmed hat. For us, it's the shoe that takes her look from stylish to extraordinary. Don't you agree?
If you like Jameela's look, check out the Charles David ULLITA wedge sandal. It comes in your choice of brown and turquoise. While the brown works well with most of our wardrobe, the latter is our favorite to punch up a Summer outfit for a hot, hot day.

We were flipping through a recent copy of WWD's Footwear News and found a photo of our new Made In Italy bootie, The GRIFTER, coming out this Fall. Although the weather is just warming up, this gives us something to look forward to next season. We love the way they look with knee-high stockings and an above-the-knee skirt or shorts.
It's no secret that Natalie Portman is an eco-conscious dresser. She'll trade in leather for man-made materials any day. Not many girls can say that. According to Kate Young, Natalie's stylist, there's a lot of good, enviro-friendly choices on the market that are just as good if not better than the 'real' thing. Take, for example, the Charles by Charles David Satin PURE as featured in Teen Vogue. This shoe is made of ALL vegan material.
We've mentioned that the Pure is Natalie's go-to shoe on the red carpet. Now we know why.

Each month, Who What Wear features a Look Of The Day blog post, presented by yours truly. For April, we spotted blogger and model, Caroline Blomst (of Carolines Mode) out and about in Sweden. She's wearing slim, red pants and a beige sheer shirt, creating an effortless but very cool ensemble. Naturally, we were drawn to her neutral, buckle sandle with a slight heel.
Caroline's shoe reminds us of our very own JESTA, soon arriving in an orange leather or blue suede combination. Wear this style with some leggings and a light, loose top... et voila... a casually chic look for business or pleasure.
These images of Bethany Hamilton wearing the KEENE to the L.A. premiere of "Soul Surfer" were passed around our office. With a movie based on her story opening this weekend, it reminds us of her exceptional braveness and determination to beat the odds.
Many of us may recall that Bethany, at the age of 13, was attacked by a tiger shark while surfing in Hawaii. Her left arm was severed below the shoulder and she lost 60% of her blood within minutes. But after merely one month, a number of surgeries and a strong desire to go pro, Bethany was out in the water again pushing up on her surf board with her one remaining arm. She went on to compete and win multiple awards for national and world series competitions.
We love how Bethany looks in our shoes, but more importantly, we're inspired by her passion and ongoing belief. Never give up on your dreams!

We're feeling that 70's style. Fashions inspired by this decade have returned and the trend has never been louder and stronger than it is right now. Think Ali MacGraw, Farrah Fawcett and Faye Dunaway in wide leg pants, maxi skirts, oversized sunglasses, jumpsuits and tunics. Footwear ranges from wedges and platforms to wood-sole bottoms and chunky heels.
As seen in the April issue of People Stylewatch, two of our favorite shoes that define this look are the Laura (retail price: $175) and the Gabriela ($145). These two styles are part of our Made In Italy collection and come in leather and suede respectfully.
If you love the 70's as much as we do, stop by one of our stores and have a look at the new styles now in stock.
